Mini Keg 5 Liter Beer Dispensers: Bring the pub experience home

By

Unless you’re still in college or a true beer enthusiast, you may not have heard about the latest fad beer manufactures are using to lure in profits: mini kegs! A mini keg is what it says it is, a small refrigerator sized keg designed to make beer drinking fun, that is, for some reason it has begun to bore you. The smartest thing any manufacture of a product can do is take one item, and market it as many different ways as possible.

Let’s look at Heineken for example. They offer a mini keg that contains 5 liters of the tasty suds, and claims it pours the perfect glass of draught beer. How many college dorm rooms have one of these in their fridge this very moment? Think about it for a minute, how easy would it be to sneak in a full size keg? Even if you managed to, how long would it go unnoticed? A mini keg on the other hand fits nicely in a backpack, a laundry bag, or duffle bag! By no way am I promoting this devious behavior, but let’s face it, you don’t think creators of mini-kegs thought the same exact thing?

This new innovative niche has sprung a whole new source of revenue for manufactures of beer dispensers. Heineken itself offers one especially made to go with their mini-keg. There is something inherently fun about pouring your own beer that makes it so much more enjoyable than popping a tab or twisting off a cap. There are many different dispensers out there, from several different makers; ranging in price from as low as eighty dollars, to over $500 dollars. I assume a $500 mini-keg beer dispenser, would travel nicely in someone’s million dollar RV, and be just a big a hit, tailgating before a football game.

Making draft beer portable, far more so than a full size SUV keg, opens a whole new avenue, for the same old product. Think about the green (yes I like Heineken), ramifications here. Over, let’s say a semester; how many beer cans can you fit inside a mini-keg? No seriously how many, I’d like to know. Colleges, parking lots, and dorm rooms all over the world would be cleaner, more environmentally friendly, rather than littered with who- knows- how=- many , empty, or dare we say partially consumed beverage containers.

I’ m sure at some point Coke and Pepsi will soon start offering portable fountain soda solutions (idea soon to be copyright protected!) which will intern spark a whole new “Fountain soda dispenser” market. I mean how cool would it be to stick your cup in and have completely oversaturated co2 soft drink whenever you want. Personally I go out of my way, entirely to often, simply to enjoy a poured soda- it’s so much better than form a can- and will never go flat!.

The possibilities are endless with the right product; it just goes to show you where the smart people are vs. the people who write about them. Check them out and see for yourself, mini keg 5 liter beer dispensers.

Hint hint; there's a pretty big football game coming up which would be a great time to debut your brand new mini kegerator to all your buddies.
